Create HAPPY! Make a SNOW GLOBE!!!
Growing up I always looked forward to SNOW DAYS!!! Staying HOME from school and playing in the snow! One year, with the help of family and friends, I decided to make the biggest snowball ever. We started at the top of neighborhood road and slowly pushed the snowball downhill. When it reached 8 feet tall we couldn’t move it one more inch! That snowball remained until mid July…literally took forever to melt! So much fun!
Now that I live in Florida, I had to come up with a creative way to have snow in my yard. I have created a small section of my yard to be the “SNOW GLOBE GARDEN.” That’s right…it’s a garden filled with snow globes! Or have you wanted to make a snow globe for Christmas gifts this year? Here is a simple way to make snow globes for you and your friends:
Things you need:
Glass Jar, Plastic or Ceramic Figurines (no metal, it will rust), Rock, Epoxy, Water, Glycerin (available at drug-stores) and Glitter.
1. Scratch inside of lid with rock to create rough surface.
2. With clear drying epoxy, adhere the figurine to the lid. (I found a life-guard stand and Santa for mine at Michael’s).
4. Fill jar with distilled water; add glitter, and a dash of glycerin to keep the glitter from falling too quickly.
5. Screw on the lid tightly, being careful to not dislodge the figurine.
